The Canis Company does an initial home visit, promptly arrives at the agreed date/time and delivers personalized care that is tailored to each of my dog's physical and emotional needs. “I absolutely love Josh and Josina! I have utilized this company in every way! From dog sitting/walking to training to nail trims and photography (pictures below)! Josh is so patient with my dog while training and he is honestly magical! We will be struggling with a command by ourselves and the moment we have a session with Josh he will get the command perfect plus more! I never thought nail trimming a dog could look so effortlessly especially using a Dremel but Josina manages to get all her nails trimmed without her even noticing! We have four dogs, a cat and a small parrot which makes taking a vacation difficult. Josina was organized, asked questions ahead of time and made the transition of leaving for vacation seamless. All of our animals were well cared for while we were away and had lots of fun as well. There are not many people who I would trust to look after all our animals especially since they aren't all easy or always well behaved. Josina's knowledge and level of care was exactly what we needed to have a stress free vacation.
The Canis Company has excellent communication, punctuality, and are adaptive. We had issues with delayed flights and there were no issues with the required flexibility in care.

"We very recently finished our 6 weeks of training with Josh. I can't express enough how wonderful Josh was! We had the best experience going through training. It completely changed the atmosphere in our home. We have a 8 month old Doodle who was out of control and would jump and bite at our toddler. It was sooo stressful having them together that we had to keep them separate for a lot of the time. This made any kind of routine nearly impossible. Now everything is peaceful at home and Teddie is listening, and dare I say it! A well behaved dog who is using his brain!!! It's honestly night and day.

"I have been so pleased with the check-in walks, overnight stays and nail trimming services provided by The Canis Company. My husky/shepherd dog and bichon/shih tzu dog require special attention to containment management, feeding, and walking/exercise routines as they cannot be in close proximity to each other. My oldest dog now needs some medications and I also have 2 cats, one being a recent rescue. Josh Ellis is able to manage all of these details. It is very important to me that I can leave my companion animals in the comfort of their own home and know they are well cared for by Josh who loves animals, is calm, professional and understands animal behaviour. He is always punctual and I appreciate being sent a short message on how things went shortly after he leaves.
